Preservation Detroit Internship Program
Preservation Detroit offers seasonal internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young professionals studying or with expertise in historic preservation or a related discipline such as urban studies, urban planning, architectural and cultural history, or community development. Interns have the opportunity to engage in historic preservation advocacy, awareness, and education on all levels, as well as gaining experience at a non-profit. Duties may include: site research; historic archival research; archive organization; conditions assessments; building inventory surveys; public policy research; general administrative and developmental support; developing resource materials; and assisting with the coordination of project programs. This unpaid internship opportunity has flexible start and end dates and may qualify for college credit.
